I just watched a podcast
Where 2 Nigerian men in their 30's.talked about their absentee fathers
One is 33
He was raised by the man that married his single mother when he was 2 years old
He even drew a tattoo of the man's name on his arm
His biological father reached out to him last month for the first time in 33 years
He warned him never to reach out again
Not once he bothered to reach out in 33 years or responded to his mother
He said the man that married his mother is his father
Taught him everything he knows
As far he is concerned
That is his Father
He even bears his name
The other guy had the same thing to say
I feel so sorry for men who purposely neglect their children with the hope that they will come and look for them
In most cases
Another man will come into the picture
And be the father figure they need
And trust me
That's the end
So continue your refusal to pay school fees and see them during holidays
Continue to refuse to call them to check up on them
Years will pass
They will become adults
And be done with you
You think you are doing their mother
You are doing yourself
